Life Retreat Studio was born out of my passion for natural health and healing. After studying psychology at University, I then went onto qualify as a Herbalist and Yoga Teacher, as well as exploring various other modalities including Ayurveda and TRE amongst others.
I wanted to open a studio that would be the home to our Healing Hub, which includes private Lifestyle Consultations, Retreats and regular talks/ workshops/ events. We offer mindfulness and stress release in the workplace workshops, as well as day relaxation packages. Since my background is in Herbalism, I am focused on healing with Cannabis / CBD Oils.
I have found that opening a studio is not for the faint-hearted. We built ours, and the actual building took a lot longer than expected. We thought that since we are situated in a residential area, people would flock to our classes. This was sadly not the case, and it has taken a couple of years to build up our successful studio. We tried various booking platforms that were either dismal failures or cost us a fortune. Finally finding Bookamat, which is affordable, manageable and their back up service is exceptional.
Our Life Retreat Studio is now a great success. We run our classes 7 days a week, which include, assorted Yoga Classes, Nia dancing, meditation, Tai Chi and more. We offer classes for everyone from Preggies, and kids to Seniors and Physical rehab. Annually we hold International Yoga Teacher Training Courses in various destinations. Our regular Yoga / Healing Retreats are a resounding success, as they are genuinely transformational.
We are situated on the beautiful Lourensford Estate in Cape Town, South Africa and encourage people to visit us here. But, we are prepared to travel to companies all over the world for training. Our retreat packages are available to be held anywhere and can be Taylor-made to individual or group needs.
Our highlight class is our Outdoor Yoga in the Winelands on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am. There is no need to book, but it is advised to arrive a little early to sign in. Kiddies and doggies are free and encouraged. Most people go to the Lourensford market after Yoga for a fresh juice/ coffee/ lunch or brunch. It is an excellent family day outing.
